Not in a good mood today.In USA, one au pair was killed by her ex-boyfriend.
I am still trying to realize it in my head. You come to another country to live in another society, maybe searching to a better life and you find the death.
I am sad.

Sweetie... Girls die like flies in Brazil every day due to home violence and the international media doesnt even talk about it. Our country is way scaryer.
Brazil and U.S. have different problems and I would not rush into saying one is scarier than the other. Anyway, this is beyond the point here. The point is our friend here is sad and frighten with a murder that could have taken place anywhere and happen to anyone, instead it happened to a girl in a situation to wich our friend here can relate herself with. It is not because it's dangerous here our there. It is about the sadness of looking for a different place, possibly, as said, a better life our something, and finding such a sad and tragical situation istead of that you had hoped for. No matter where. The whole point, if we are trying to make a point of wich is worst, is that there is no worse. There is no safe and perfect place.
